Polycom's Communicator brings conference calling to Skype. It's well built and stands on a hinged support, which hides the USB cable in transit. There are buttons for volume control, hang-up, mute and launching Skype, so most dialling must be done using the PC client.

Call quality is superb. The single speaker is loud and clear, so everyone in a meeting room will be able to hear. It has two microphones, and these picked up our voices clearly, even from a couple of metres away, while the sound processing cut out all background noise.

It may be expensive, but Polycom's Communicator is perfect for business.
